It's International Margarita Day. So add a little sunshine to your day with our original cocktail recipes.
Although the Margarita is a cocktail of Mexican origin, the country in which it is most widespread is the United States. And it's easy to believe them! Mild, sweet and tangy, the basic recipe for this drink is based on a simple balance of lemon, tequila and triple sec. Margaritas are traditionally served chilled in a glass with a salted rim. Although winter is not the best time to drink this kind of cocktail, the Margarita is officially celebrated on 22 February. The origin and significance of this date is not well known, but it was proclaimed several years ago by an association of American bartenders.
