Eyguebelle chestnut cream is a 16% alcohol fruit spirit.

To drink chestnut purée, pour it directly over ice in a liqueur glass and enjoy with friends! Remember to put your bottle in the freezer a little before serving. It's best served chilled.

Tip: For those with a sweet tooth, you can add a marron glacé (glazed chestnut) to the bottom of the glass, which your guests can eat with a spoon after drinking all the liqueur.

1) White wine with chestnut cream

You're no doubt familiar with the famous blanc-cassis served as an aperitif. Here's a well-known Ardèche variation that combines chestnut cream with white wine

Pour 1/5 chestnut liqueur and 4/5 white wine into a wine glass. Serve chilled.

2) Champagne with chestnut cream

A well-known variation on the previous aperitif, champagne with chestnut cream.

Simply replace the white wine with the champagne of your choice for a more sophisticated cocktail.

First pour 1/5 of the chestnut cream into a flute, then top up the glass with champagne.

An original chestnut cocktail to serve in a tall cocktail glass.

Ingredients:

Mix all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Pour into the cocktail glass and sprinkle with nutmeg.

6) Chestnut cream cake


Chestnut cream cake is a delicious chestnut and liqueur fondant recipe. In short, if you're chestnut lovers, you can't pass up this +++ chestnut recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 2 350g pots of chestnut cream 
  • 100g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons chestnut flour
  • 3 tablespoons chestnut cream
  • And for those with a sweet tooth, 2 or 3 pieces of chestnut glaze

In a bowl, macerate the chestnut chips with the chestnut cream. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 180°. Mix the chestnut cream with the beaten eggs. Melt the butter and mix with the flour. Fold the butter-flour mixture into the chestnut cream and add the cream with the broken pieces.

Pour the batter into a cake tin thick enough to keep the cake melt-in-the-mouth. Bake in the oven at 180° for 30 minutes.

Start by peeling the apples and cutting them into slices to taste. Roll out the shortcrust pastry inPlace the shortcrust pastry in a pie dish. Prick the pastry with a fork to help it cook. Mix 2 tablespoons of chestnut liqueur with the apple sauce and spread the mixture over the base of the dish.
