Composition

Description

Castagnade is made from an infusion of Ardèche chestnuts, neutral alcohol and sugar. The chestnut is a fruit with a shell surrounded by an envelope bristling with prickles to protect the fruit. Chestnuts are a French fruit, more specifically from the Ardèche, the neighbouring region of Drôme Provençale where our estate is located. It is the fruit of autumn par excellence. Castagnade can be served as an aperitif on the rocks or with a crémant, sparkling wine, champagne or beer. It can also be used in a fruit salad or with desserts.
 
Ingredients water, sugar, alcohol, chestnut flavourings, Ardèche chestnut extract, colour: plain caramel, lemon juice concentrate.
